Focus is, ironically, a movie that seems to lack focus. While it starts strong, the second act had me questioning if I was watching a lame rom-com masquerading as a crime caper rather than the caper I was promised, making me wonder if I had, myself, been conned by the film's marketing team. By the time the third act rolled around and I had my answer, I didn't care anymore. Luckily, the slick dialogue and ample chemistry between leads saves Focus from disaster. Focus is the perfect movie to catch on cable when nothing else is on.
